In the development strategy, Long An plans 3 distinct regions. In which, region 1 is oriented to develop high-tech agriculture, eco-tourism and border gate economy. This is the region that ensures food security and provides raw materials for the development of the processing industry. Region 2 is the buffer zone between region 1 and region 3, surrounded by the two rivers Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay, oriented to develop renewable energy projects and riverside ecological urban areas. Region 3 includes districts adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, planned to develop satellite urban areas and industrial parks and clusters. Long An also has outstanding advantages in maritime transport, inland waterways, and international maritime.

Determining that transport infrastructure is a prerequisite for socio-economic development and to effectively promote the role of regional linkage, Long An has mobilized resources to deploy investment to complete a series of key transport projects. Currently, Long An continues to focus on synchronously deploying investment in inter-regional transport projects connecting provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta with Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Southeast region. At the same time, connecting smoothly between localities in the province. In addition, representative of the Youth Development Support Fund (FYE) - Nguyen Cam Chi presented on innovation and promoting human resources. Thereby, Ms. Nguyen Cam Chi commented that although human resources in Long An in particular and the Mekong Delta in general are abundant, the quality of human resources is still a weakness that hinders development. Some recommendations to improve the quality of Long An's human resources in the period up to 2025, with a vision to 2030, were also made.

Within the framework of the conference, Long An provincial authorities met with Japanese investors and enterprises operating in Long An province. On this occasion, enterprises reflected on difficulties in applying for work permits for foreigners; poor infrastructure in some industrial parks, especially traffic infrastructure; spontaneous markets near industrial parks causing congestion and potential traffic safety risks; tax procedure inspections, etc. Thereby, enterprises recommended and proposed solutions to difficulties to help enterprises operate better and better. Through the recommendations of enterprises, provincial leaders directed relevant units, departments, and localities to directly respond and promptly resolve related issues within their authority.
