Attending the conference, Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh expressed his pleasure that Long An province, a locality with many economic development achievements, is interested in Australian investors. Currently, Long An province has 22 Industrial Parks with an area of 2,900 hectares and 22 industrial clusters with an area of 1,100 hectares. Industrial zones and clusters in Long An are concentrated in districts adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, which is very convenient in transportation to seaports during the import and export of goods. Currently, 40 countries and territories have invested in them. Long An, including 11 projects of Australian investors with a total investment capital of more than 75 million USD; focusing on the following fields: Construction of industrial cluster infrastructure; Designing, manufacturing and processing garments for export; Food production; Preliminary processing and packaging of frozen meat; Warehousing and preservation of goods in frozen warehouses; Processing and preserving meat and meat products.

Also at the conference, delegates witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on investment promotion cooperation between Long An province and the Vietnam Business Association in Australia (VBAA) with two memorandums of understanding on the signing of a strategic partnership contract on planning - architecture and technology consulting for Phuoc Dong Smart urban area project with a scale of 465 hectares and Phuoc Dong Industrial Park project in Long An province, between IMG Phuoc Dong Joint Stock Company and Elenberg Fraser Australia.
Mrs. Le Thuy Linh - representative of IMG Phuoc Dong and Mr. Yak Yong Quek representing Prime Value company signed a memorandum of understanding on a bilateral strategic investment partnership contract between Vietnam and Australia.
Mr. Le Tu Minh Hoang - representative of IMG Phuoc Dong and Elenberg Fraser company signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership for Phuoc Dong smart urban area with a scale of 192 hectares and an expanded industrial park of 465 hectares
