Long An promotes investment, strengthens cooperation in many fields with agencies and organizations in China (Taiwan)

To implement the Action Program of the Socio-Economic Plan 2023, from March 5-11, 2023, Long An Delegation visits and organizes investment promotion activities in China (Taiwan).
Starting activities of the delegation in China (Taiwan), on March 6, 2023, the delegation paid a courtesy visit and worked at the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei.

At the meeting, Chairman of Vietnam Culture - Economic Office in Taipei - Vu Tien Dung highly appreciated the results of Long An province in the past time. At the same time, he believed that with its potential and available strengths, the province will continue to achieve outstanding achievements in the future, in which, focusing on attracting foreign investment capital, especially foreign investors and corporation in Taiwan.

At the meeting, Economic Advisor of Long An Province - Nguyen Minh Lam thanked Chairman and Vietnam Culture-Economic Office in Taipei for actively supporting the province in connecting and promoting in the past time and expressed his wish that Mr. Dung and his associates will continue to pay more attention to practical support for the province in the coming time.

On the same day, the delegation had a meeting and worked with partners who are implementing and researching investment projects in the province.

The delegation also had a meeting and worked with partners in the field of agriculture in Taiwan. Welcoming and working with the delegation were representatives of Chiayi Agricultural Research Institute; Chen-Yung Charity Association and Agriculture Experts in Taiwan. Since 2020, Long An has been implementing a cooperation program between Chiayi Agricultural Research Sub-Institute and Long An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. With the support of research and technology transfer from Chiayi Agricultural Research Institute and the support of facilities and equipment from the Chen-Yung Charity Association, the cooperation program has achieved many positive results.

At the meeting, Economic Advisor of Long An province - Nguyen Minh Lam highly appreciated the results achieved in the cooperation agreement. At the same time, he requested Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to maintain cooperation agreements or propose new cooperation on suitable livestock and plant varieties, then submiting to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to include in the cooperation framework and sign with Ministry of Agriculture of Taiwan in the future. Experts and partners in Taiwan are committed to cooperation, technology transfer, technical processes, support in the development of plant varieties and livestock to meet the province's orientation, as well as sharing experiences to promote agriculture in Long An province to develop modernly and sustainably.

After the meeting, the provincial delegation went to survey and visit high-tech agricultural models at Taoyuan's Breeding Camp to learn and access new techniques in agriculture.

On the afternoon, the delegation had a working session and surveyed the electronic components factory of AcBel Polytech Inc Group in Tamsui city. At the meeting, Deputy General Director of the Group introduced, AcBel Polytech Inc is a corporation specializing in the production of electronic components supplying large corporations such as Intel, Dell with more than 52 headquarters and factories worldwide, in which, the company currently has a factory in Vinh Phuc province. The Group hopes that, after the meeting, they will have the opportunity to learn about investment in Long An and wish the provincial leaders to create favorable conditions for the Group. At the same time, he wished to attend Vietnam Investment Environment Conference jointly organized by Long An on March 8 in Taipei City.

Talking to the Group, Long An Economic Advisor - Nguyen Minh Lam highly appreciated the role of Taiwanese investors since Taiwan is currently the second largest FDI partner in the province with registered capital over 1 billion USD. After working and visiting the technological process and machines at the Group's factory and research room, he emphasized, Long An is completing the provincial planning, in which the company's business field is on the priority list to call for investment in the province. He hopes that the group's leaders will come to Long An as soon as possible to learn about the investment environment. Provincial leaders are always committed to creating the best conditions for the Group to invest and succeed together with Long An.

On March 7, the delegation will continue to work and survey according to plan in Taipei city./.
